Wondering if your child is too sick for school? Worried that your ankle sprain is a break? Can’t shake that cough and fever? Come to one of our two Immediate Care locations - Lombard at the Lombard Health Center or Elmhurst at the Center for Health. Both locations are open everyday 8 a.m. – 8 p.m. and 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. on holidays.
At Immediate Care, our doctors are Emergency Medicine trained specialists, something you won’t find at most urgent care or quick clinics. The average visit here is less than an hour, often much less.
Come to Immediate Care for minor but urgent problems such as the following:
- Sore throat
- Ear ache
- Sinus infections
- Colds and flu
- Low grade fever
- Minor skin rash
- Allergies
- Sprains, strains and fractures
- Minor back, joint or muscle pain
- Minor cuts, burns and abrasions
For more serious problems, such as the following, go to an Emergency Room or call 911.
- Abdominal pain
- Difficulty breathing
- Chest pains
- Loss of consciousness or mental focus
- Severe allergic reaction (hives or throat swelling)
- Profuse bleeding
- Pain that cannot be controlled by over-the-counter meds
